Bishop S.Y. Younger is the founder of B Younger Academy, an educational initiative dedicated to reducing poverty through education, entrepreneurship, and family empowerment. As a pastor, bishop, teacher, author, and global leader, he has spent more than two decades serving communities through ministry, leadership development, humanitarian outreach, and international missions.
In 2005, after answering a call to ministry, Bishop Younger founded The Ramp Church International in Lynchburg, Virginia. As his ministry expanded, he established additional churches across the United States and abroad and was consecrated to the episcopacy in 2011. He also founded One Way Churches International, a fellowship of churches and ministry leaders dedicated to advancing the Gospel and strengthening local communities.
Beyond the pulpit, Bishop Younger has remained deeply committed to serving people through practical outreach and community engagement. His leadership in humanitarian initiatives, mentorship programs, and community development efforts has reflected his belief that lasting transformation requires both spiritual and practical support.
His work has taken him to numerous nations throughout North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, where he has partnered with pastors, churches, schools, and local leaders to bring hope and opportunity to underserved communities. These experiences inspired the vision for B Younger Academy and reinforced his conviction that education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking generational poverty.
Under his leadership, B Younger Academy provides children with access to quality education, equips mothers with entrepreneurship and vocational skills, and supports families through programs designed to promote long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Through this work, Bishop Younger continues to pursue his vision of empowering individuals, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for future generations to thrive.
